Where is the Filodivino winery located?

The Filodivino winery, along with the Wine Resort & Spa, is located in San Marcello, a few kilometres from Jesi, in the province of Ancona, in the heart of the Marche region and the production areas of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi and Lacrima di Morro d'Alba.

Is it possible to visit the winery?

Yes, you can visit the winery and take in the views of Filodivino's vineyards by participating in the experiences offered at the estate, available in the Offers section of this website. All the experiences include a wine tasting, allowing you to discover the winery's wines and enjoy an authentic wine experience amidst the vineyards and the surrounding area.

How is Filodivino wine produced?

Filodivino wine production follows a meticulous approach rooted in respect for the terroir, based on organic viticulture and artisanal techniques. Grapes grown in the estate's vineyards are hand-harvested with up to three passes per row to ensure only perfectly ripe clusters reach the winery. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts, mainly in stainless steel or terracotta amphorae, to preserve the identity of each grape variety and terroir. Each wine then follows its own ageing process until bottling.

What is the winery's production philosophy?

Thanks to its collaboration with winemaker Luca D'Attoma, Filodivino's production philosophy is clear and uncompromising: to practise healthy and responsible viticulture, minimise intervention in the winery, and allow the characteristics of each grape variety and vintage to shine through in wines that are clean, fresh, complex, and always exceptionally elegant.

Does the winery use grapes from the estate's vineyards?

Yes, 100% of the grapes used by Filodivino are grown on the estate's own vineyards. This direct control over the entire production chain, from vineyard to winery, ensures quality and consistency, resulting in authentic wines closely tied to the territory and the characteristics of the San Marcello vineyards.

Are wine tastings available at the winery?

Yes, Filodivino organises wine tastings in San Marcello, allowing guests to sample the winery's flagship wines right where they're made. The tastings include wines representative of the production, particularly Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC and Lacrima di Morro d'Alba DOC. In some cases the tasting can be enhanced with local food pairings for a complete food and wine experience. All tastings require a reservation.

Is Filodivino a member of any winegrowers' association?

Yes, Filodivino is a member of FIVI (Italian Federation of Independent Winemakers) and is a founding member of the Association of Producers of Lacrima di Morro d'Alba (https://www.produttorilacrimadimorro.com/).
