Frequently Asked Questions
What are the characteristics of Lacrima di Morro d’Alba DOC?
Lacrima di Morro d’Alba DOC is a unique red wine from the central Italy, known for its intense aromatic profile. Filodivino’s Diana stands out for its red color with violet hues and for its typical aromas of violets, roses, and wild berries. On the palate, it is round, enveloping, and has soft tannins, maintaining a pleasant freshness. It is a wine recognizable precisely for its strong aromatic identity, rare among Italian reds.
Where is Lacrima di Morro d’Alba DOC produced?
Lacrima di Morro d’Alba DOC is produced exclusively in Italy, in a small hilly area of the province of Ancona, including the municipalities of Morro d’Alba, San Marcello, and Ostra. In the case of Diana, the grapes come from vineyards located in San Marcello, on clay-limestone soils and in a climate influenced by the proximity to the Adriatic Sea—ideal conditions for producing aromatic, high-quality wines.
What dishes does Lacrima di Morro d’Alba DOC pair well with?
Lacrima di Morro d’Alba DOC is very versatile when it comes to pairings. It pairs perfectly with cured meats, fresh cheeses, pasta dishes, and white meats, but it also surprises with traditional central Italian seafood dishes, such as brodetto. Thanks to its aromatic character and smoothness, it is ideal for both traditional cuisine and more creative pairings.
Is the Lacrima di Morro d’Alba DOC Diana wine organic?
Yes, Filodivino’s Lacrima di Morro d’Alba Diana wine is produced from grapes grown using certified organic farming methods, with hand-harvesting and a strong commitment to respecting the land. This approach results in an authentic wine that directly expresses the character of the grape variety and the hills of the heart of Italy.
